About The Position

The UPS Store Retail Associate assists customers and delivers exceptional service in person and by telephone. The associate receives and processes packages for courier shipment and operates copiers, fax machines, binding and laminating equipment, and point-of-sale devices. The role involves learning the store’s services, products, and value options so customers can receive accurate information and practical solutions for their needs.

This is a part-time position with availability for opening/morning and weekend shifts. The posting lists morning shifts as 7:30 PM–2:00 PM and also states that opening shifts must be covered; weekend shifts are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. The store’s stated hours are 8:00 AM–7:00 PM Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Saturday and Sunday. The position offers $17.00 per hour, based on experience, and opportunities to grow into full-time and leadership roles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Suites, and internet proficiency.
• Outstanding phone, verbal, written, spelling, and math skills.
• Prompt, dependable, and responsible.
• Able to safely lift more than 40 pounds.
• Willing and able to work 15–30 hours per week.
• Available to cover opening shifts and weekend shifts as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
• Complete Notary certification and provide notary services to customers.
• Practice good listening skills with customers, team members, and leadership.
• Take ownership of customers’ shipping needs and offer viable solutions.
• Learn product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends.
• Operate equipment, software, and devices expertly, and be willing to teach others.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
