About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate delivers world-class customer service to customers in a store environment. The role involves helping customers choose shipping options, assisting with document services, packing and shipping merchandise, and processing sales transactions using a computerized register. Associates help maintain a clean, customer-friendly store and complete other assigned tasks. The position requires a helpful, friendly attitude, attention to detail, organizational ability, and a desire to contribute to a performance-driven team. The company may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as business needs require.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing accurate pricing information.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Helpful, friendly attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays if needed.
• Ability to stand, bend, and reach; frequent lifting of 1 to 5 pounds and occasional lifting of at least 75 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, recommended and may be required.
• Knowledge of Internet applications preferred.
• Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer calls is a plus.
• Passion for sales and ability to engage customers effectively.
