About The Position

The League Host Cashier greets restaurant patrons, answers phone calls, and helps ensure guests are seated promptly and have a favorable dining experience. The role reports to the Venue Manager. It combines guest service and seating duties with cashier responsibilities, and may include bussing tables or preparing menu items at some venues.

Requirements

Speak, read, and write English.
Handle cash responsibly.
Calculate basic math functions related to POS cash and credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
At least 1 year of experience in a high-volume fine dining or casual restaurant.

Responsibilities

Recognize guests by remembering names, faces, and information that helps make each guest feel unique.
Answer patrons’ questions about the menu.
Distribute seating as evenly as possible among food servers.
Receive customer payments for meals and operate the cash register.
Make change and issue receipts or tickets to customers.
Read and record cash register tape totals and verify them against cash on hand.
Pre-bus and fully bus tables during peak periods, as needed.
Promote current casino events and programs and provide directions to casino areas.
Resolve minor guest complaints in a manner consistent with the departmental philosophy.
Monitor the dining room and keep the floor free of debris.
Prepare sandwiches, coffee, pastries, and other menu items at venues where required.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
