About The Position

As the Host, you are the first person guests see when they enter the restaurant. You greet guests, make them feel welcome, and provide their first taste of Ruby Magic. Hosts also assist with To-Go orders and process guest checks as the cashier.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age.
No experience is necessary.
Commitment to guest service that is remarkable, memorable, and fun.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 15 pounds constantly to move objects.
Able to carry products, boxes, and miscellaneous items weighing no more than 60 pounds.
Consistently operate registers, kneel and follow proper lifting procedures, and stand while serving customers and training.
Frequently stoop and pick up supplies and trash.
Consistently communicate with and listen to fellow team members and guests.

Nice To Haves

Restaurant experience is a definite plus.

Responsibilities

Greet all guests warmly upon arrival.
Seat guests and accommodate special requests.
Manage the wait list by recording guest names and party sizes and providing estimated wait times.
Provide an exceptional To-Go experience by taking phone and walk-in orders, entering orders in the Point of Sale system, packaging items, processing payments, and ensuring orders are on time and accurate.
Answer phones and manage the restaurant reservation system.
Inspect tables for proper presentation and completeness.
Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Accurately process guest checks without cash overages or shortages.
Use proper cash-handling procedures for cash and non-cash transactions, including counting change, security precautions, and cash accountability.
Keep the cash register and register area stocked with needed items.
Maintain cleanliness and stocking standards for the reception area and restrooms.
