About The Position

Akima Logistics Services (ALS) is hiring a THAAD System Technical Trainer to work at the THAAD training facility at Fort Bliss, Texas. The trainer supports instruction for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia personnel in New Equipment Training, technical concepts and operations, Air Battle Management Training, and THAAD Missile Technical Escort Training. Training follows established instructor guidelines, U.S. Army air and missile defense operations, technical manuals and interactive electronic technical manuals, and applicable policies and procedures. The position conducts training sessions and product demonstrations and develops criteria to evaluate training effectiveness. The trainer works as part of an instructor and support team under direct customer supervision. This mission-essential position supports training and certification of KSA personnel to sustain and maintain missile defense operations. Overtime and nonstandard shifts may be required as necessary. The position is temporary, with the potential to become permanent.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or five years of directly related work experience.
Previous experience on the THAAD or PATRIOT Missile Defense System.
Experience and knowledge of U.S. Army air and missile defense forces and engagement operations.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance.
Must pass a background check that includes criminal and credit checks.

Responsibilities

Provide individual THAAD training to KSA personnel at the Fort Bliss, Texas, THAAD training facility.
Use KSA THAAD tactical equipment and Government-furnished training devices.
Train in accordance with the KSA-specific Training Program Structure Document (TPSD) and developed training plans.
Instruct courses that trainees must complete before beginning collective training.
Teach THAAD system and component overviews and all aspects of TFCC functional operations.
Teach THAAD Launcher system, subsystem, and component overviews and all aspects of launcher functional operations.
Teach maintenance, troubleshooting, and remove-and-replace procedures for THAAD communications equipment.
Teach THAAD doctrine, system behavior, and engagement operations.
Instruct THAAD Missile Technical Escort Training.
Teach THAAD Battery Support Center (BSC) operations.
Cross-train instructors so each training area has an identified primary and backup instructor available as required.
Instruct KSA Enhanced Operator/Maintainers (EOM) in maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, including software, hardware, interconnecting cabling, electrical systems, and networks.
Conduct training sessions and product demonstrations, and develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.
