Textile Sales Associate - Rochester - PT

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES GROUP•Rochester, IN
•$11 - $0•Onsite

About The Position

The Textile Sales Associate receives, sorts, prices, tags, and stocks donated textiles, helping move donations efficiently from the drive-thru to the sales floor and supporting the smooth operation of a fast-paced retail store. The position reports to the Store Manager and/or Production Manager, who evaluates performance annually. The associate is expected to understand the Goodwill mission, “Empower people to achieve their most abundant life,” and embody the company’s core values: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer-First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Do The Right Thing. The position uses production-based pay levels. Training begins at $11 per hour for performance below 80 pieces per hour (PPH), with four weeks to reach the 80-PPH goal. If the goal is not met within four weeks, management provides coaching and ongoing support. After eight weeks, if the goal remains unmet and there are no qualifying open positions, termination may be considered, though transitioning the employee to an available position is the primary aim unless attendance or other performance issues are being addressed. Reaching 80 PPH raises pay to $15 per hour. Performance of 91–110 PPH may qualify for $16 per hour, and 111–130+ PPH may qualify for $17 per hour; the higher levels require a three-week average at the relevant threshold and must be maintained. Performance below a level triggers an improvement period and may lead to coaching, progressive discipline, or pay adjustments. Daily PPH recording is mandatory and may affect pay if not completed.
