The Textile Sales Associate receives, sorts, prices, tags, and stocks donated textiles, helping move donations efficiently from the drive-thru to the sales floor and supporting the smooth operation of a fast-paced retail store. The role reports to the Store Manager and/or Production Manager, who evaluates performance annually. The employee is expected to understand Goodwill’s mission, “Empower people to achieve their most abundant life,” and embody its core values: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer-First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Do The Right Thing. Pay is based on production levels. The training rate is $11 per hour while producing below 80 pieces per hour (PPH). Employees have four weeks to reach 80 PPH; management will provide coaching and ongoing support if needed. After eight weeks below target, termination may be considered if there are no qualifying open positions, although transitioning the employee to another available position is the primary aim when possible. Reaching 80–90 PPH raises the rate to $15 per hour. Level 3 performance of 91–110 PPH pays $16 per hour after a three-week average of at least 91 PPH. Level 4 performance of 111–130+ PPH pays $17 per hour after a three-week average of at least 111 PPH. Employees at Level 2 or above who fall below the applicable production target receive a three-week improvement period; further action may include coaching, warnings, performance discussions, or pay adjustments. Daily PPH recording is mandatory and may affect pay if not completed. Z-racks count as 100 pieces per rack.
