The Textile Sales Associate receives, sorts, prices, tags, and stocks donated textiles, helping donations move quickly from the drive-thru to the sales floor and supporting the smooth operation of a fast-paced retail store. The position reports to the Store Manager and/or Production Manager, who evaluates performance annually. The associate is expected to understand Goodwill’s mission, “Empower people to achieve their most abundant life,” and embody its core values: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer-First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Do The Right Thing. Pay is tied to processing productivity. The training rate is $11 per hour for performance below 80 pieces per hour (PPH), with four weeks to reach 80 PPH. Management provides coaching and support if the goal is not reached; after eight weeks, termination may be considered if the goal remains unmet and there are no qualifying open positions. At 80–90 PPH, pay increases to $15 per hour upon first reaching 80 PPH. If productivity falls below 80 PPH, the associate has three weeks to improve before progressive discipline may begin. Level 3 performance of 91–110 PPH pays $16 per hour, effective after a three-week average of at least 91 PPH. Level 4 performance of 111–130+ PPH pays $17 per hour, effective after a three-week average of at least 111 PPH. High performers must maintain the applicable productivity level; falling below it results in a three-week improvement period and may lead to performance discussions and pay adjustments. Daily PPH tracking is mandatory and failure to record it may affect pay. Z-racks are counted as 100 pieces per rack. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
