Textile Sales Associate - Rochester - FT

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES GROUP•Rochester, IN
•$11 - $0•Onsite

About The Position

The Textile Sales Associate processes donated textiles to keep donations moving efficiently from the drive-thru to the sales floor and support the smooth operation of a fast-paced retail store. The role reports to the Store Manager and/or Production Manager, who evaluates performance annually. The employee is also expected to understand the Goodwill mission, “Empower people to achieve their most abundant life,” and embody the company’s core values: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer-First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Do The Right Thing. Pay is tied to processing speed. The starting training rate is $11 per hour for performance below 80 pieces per hour (PPH); employees have four weeks to reach 80 PPH, with coaching and support available. At eight weeks, if the goal remains unmet and no qualifying open positions are available, termination may be considered, though transferring the employee to an available position is the primary aim when possible. Reaching 80 PPH raises pay to $15 per hour. Performance levels of 91–110 PPH and 111–130+ PPH raise pay to $16 and $17 per hour, respectively, subject to the stated three-week average requirements. Employees must maintain the PPH threshold for their pay level; improvement periods and potential performance discussions or pay adjustments may apply if performance falls below it. Daily PPH tracking is mandatory, and failure to record it may affect the pay rate. Rates may differ based on state minimum-wage regulations or local prevailing rates.
