Textile Sales Associate - Concord - PT

GOODWILL INDUSTRIES GROUP•Elkhart, IN
•$11 - $0•Onsite

About The Position

The Textile Sales Associate receives, sorts, prices, tags, and stocks donated textiles, keeping donations moving efficiently from the drive-thru to the sales floor and supporting the smooth operation of a fast-paced retail store. The position reports to the Store Manager and/or Production Manager, who evaluates performance annually. The associate is expected to understand Goodwill’s mission, “Empower people to achieve their most abundant life,” and embody its core values: Relentless Pursuit of Excellence, Customer-First Mindset, Humble Confidence, Passion for Mission, and Do The Right Thing. Pay is tied to processing rate. Training begins at $11 per hour while the employee works toward processing at least 80 pieces per hour (PPH), with four weeks to reach that goal. Coaching and ongoing management support are provided if the target is not met within four weeks; after eight weeks, termination may be considered if the target remains unmet and no qualifying open position is available. Reaching 80 PPH raises pay to $15 per hour. Levels 3 and 4 pay $16 and $17 per hour, respectively, with the specified three-week average processing rates required for the increases. Employees must record PPH daily and maintain the applicable rate to retain high-performer pay. A three-week improvement period applies when an employee’s rate falls below the applicable target; subsequent performance discussions or pay adjustments may follow. The role is part-time, located at the Concord store in Elkhart, Indiana, and scheduled for the day shift. The listed starting rate is $11 per hour, subject to state minimum-wage regulations and the performance-based pay levels described above.
