About The Position

Pearson VUE is hiring a part-time Test Center Administrator in Springfield, Illinois. The role provides secure exam delivery and customer service in a comfortable, friendly testing environment. The position pays $17.75 per hour and is benefits eligible on the hire date. It is strictly part-time, at 10–20 hours per week, with an expectation to work additional hours if needed. Schedules are available at least two weeks in advance. Work availability is needed Monday through Saturday, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., including approximately two to three Saturdays per month.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Flexibility in work hours and days.
Beginner-to-intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to sit for long periods and escort candidates to and from the testing room.
Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds, with reasonable accommodation.
Comfort working in a quiet testing environment; ability to hear and speak in soft voices and see details from a distance.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of customer service experience is preferred.
Experience proctoring or invigilating exams is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow testing procedures and company policies, using careful judgment.
Check in candidates, verify identification, and explain the exam process.
Proctor or invigilate candidates during exams.
Work with internal departments to troubleshoot technical issues.
Perform light housekeeping, including vacuuming floors and sanitizing keyboards after each candidate finishes an exam.
Perform other duties as assigned.
