About The Position

Pearson VUE is hiring a part-time Test Administrator in Springfield, Illinois. The position provides secure exam delivery and customer service in a comfortable, friendly environment. The schedule is 10–20 hours per week, with an expectation to work additional hours if needed. Shifts may vary Monday through Saturday between 7 AM and 8 PM, including approximately 2–3 Saturdays per month. Schedules are provided at least two weeks in advance. Starting pay is $17.75 per hour. The position is benefits eligible from the hire date.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility in work hours and days.
• Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to sit for long periods and escort candidates to and from the testing room.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds with reasonable accommodation.
• Comfort working in a quiet testing environment; ability to hear and speak with soft voices and see details from a distance.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience proctoring or invigilating exams is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow testing procedures and company policies, using careful judgment.
• Check in testing candidates, verify identification, and explain the exam process.
• Proctor or invigilate candidates during exams.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with internal departments.
• Perform light housekeeping, including vacuuming floors and sanitizing keyboards after each candidate’s examination.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
