About The Position

Pearson VUE is hiring a regular part-time Test Administrator for its Chicago, Illinois test center at 200 West Adams Street. The role provides secure exam delivery and customer service in a comfortable, friendly environment. Starting pay is $18.05 per hour, and the position is eligible for accrued paid sick time. The role averages approximately 10 to 18 hours per week, with additional hours expected during peak seasons, particularly spring and summer. Shifts are scheduled between 7:15 AM and 8:30 PM, Monday through Saturday, including approximately two Saturdays per month. Specific shifts depend on scheduling needs, and schedules are provided at least two to four weeks in advance.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Must be flexible in work hours and days, including availability for morning, afternoon, and occasional Saturday shifts.
Must be able to sit for long periods and escort candidates to and from the testing room.
Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 20 pounds, with reasonable accommodation.
Must be comfortable in a quiet testing environment, able to hear soft voices, and able to see details from a distance.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of customer service experience is preferred.
Experience proctoring or invigilating exams is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Follow all testing procedures and company policies, exercising careful judgment.
Check in candidates, verify identification, and explain the exam process.
Proctor or invigilate candidates during exams.
Troubleshoot technical issues with internal departments.
Perform light housekeeping, including vacuuming floors and sanitizing keyboards after each candidate's examination.
Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
