About The Position

Universal Intermodal Services is seeking a Terminal Manager for its Baltimore, Maryland terminal. The role is a management opportunity in a fast-paced intermodal environment, focused on overseeing terminal operations, staff, dispatch activity, customer service, and operating results. Universal provides intermodal services including drayage, container yard management, maintenance and repair, domestic container, and intermodal flatbed services.

Requirements

At least 2 years of management experience in an intermodal or drayage environment.
Knowledge of customs and international shipping regulations.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and AS400.
Problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail.
Strong work ethic.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to delegate and enforce company policy.
Energetic, competitive, and career-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Directly manage staff, including supervisory, clerical, and labor personnel.
Recruit company drivers.
Manage dispatch orders and moves.
Manage internal operating policies and procedures.
Interact with customers daily and ensure customer satisfaction.
Review monthly profit and loss (P&L).
Prepare and manage reports on production, quality, timeliness, staffing, billing, and discrepancies.
