About The Position

Talbots is hiring a temporary, part-time Sales Support associate for its Roseville, California store. The role supports store sales and service by welcoming and assisting customers, sharing product and styling knowledge, helping build customer relationships, and contributing to store operations and business goals. Associates work with the management team and store colleagues in a fast-paced environment, complete assigned projects, and participate in learning and coaching opportunities. The position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and involves standing, moving around, climbing ladders, and handling merchandise weighing at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Welcome customers warmly as a greeter and/or answer the phone.
• Assist the management team in building store business and support service enhancers that strengthen customer relationships.
• Serve multiple customers at a time and manage simultaneous tasks or projects.
• Stay informed about fashion trends and new arrivals, including product fit, color, and fashion details.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and recommend items suited to customer needs.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to maximize individual performance.
• Support sales and service metrics, including clientelling and outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete assigned operational and other projects, including filling orders, replenishment, folding, and recovery.
