About The Position

Talbots is hiring a temporary, part-time Sales Support associate for its Eastwood store in Lansing, Michigan. The associate provides customer service, supports sales and store operations, and contributes to customer relationships and the store team’s goals. The role requires fashion interest, communication and organizational skills, comfort with technology, and the ability to work a flexible schedule. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, moving around and climbing ladders, reaching and bending, and lifting, carrying, or moving at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships.
• Welcome customers warmly as a greeter and/or answer the phone.
• Assist the management team in building store business.
• Support service enhancers to build strong customer relationships.
• Serve multiple customers and handle simultaneous tasks or projects.
• Stay informed about fashion trends and new arrivals, including product fit, color, and fashion details.
• Use product knowledge and fashion expertise to create outfits and suggest products suited to customers’ needs.
• Participate in learning opportunities and accept direction, coaching, and feedback to maximize performance.
• Support sales and service metrics, including clientelling and outreach, appointment setting, and Talbots Classic Awards.
• Complete assigned projects and operational tasks, including filling orders, replenishment, folding, and recovery.
