About The Position
The Teller is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with branch activities, including day-to-day client-facing services and transaction processing, in coordination with the Customer Service function. The objective is to provide high-quality customer service and help the branch generate revenue by delivering optimal solutions. The role is part-time, 20 hours, at the Smithaven Branch in Lake Grove, New York. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.
Requirements
- Demonstrated sales and customer service experience.
- Money handling experience.
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for Citi clients and provide a positive first impression through friendly and efficient customer service.
- Perform efficient and accurate banking transactions, including managing the branch cash supply, processing incoming and outgoing cash deposits, and maintaining branch vault cash.
- Identify opportunities to refer clients to new products and services based on their financial goals.
- Educate clients about Citi digital and self-service opportunities.
- Follow bank policies, operational controls, and regulatory procedures to protect client and bank assets.
- Meet client needs, manage client issues and concerns effectively, and escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain working knowledge of client accounts and new and existing products and services.
- Provide an exceptional client experience and fulfill client needs, with performance measured using specific metrics.
- Assess risk appropriately in business decisions; protect the firm's reputation and assets; comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies; exercise sound ethical judgment; and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues.
