About The Position

The Teller is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with branch activities, including day-to-day client-facing services and transaction processing, in coordination with the Customer Service function. The role aims to provide high-quality customer service and help the branch generate revenue by delivering optimal solutions. The position is part-time, for 20 hours, at Citi’s Hewlett branch in New York. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

• Demonstrated sales and customer service experience.
• Money-handling experience.
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for Citi clients and create a positive first impression through friendly, efficient customer service.
• Perform accurate banking transactions, manage the branch’s cash supply, handle incoming and outgoing cash deposits, and maintain branch vault cash.
• Identify referral opportunities for products and services based on clients’ financial goals.
• Educate clients about Citi’s digital and self-service opportunities.
• Follow bank policies, operational controls, and regulatory procedures to protect client and bank assets.
• Meet client needs, manage client issues and concerns, and escalate them when needed.
• Maintain working knowledge of client accounts and new and existing products and services.
• Provide an exceptional client experience and fulfill clients’ needs, as measured by specific metrics.
• Assess risk in business decisions, safeguard the firm’s reputation and assets, comply with applicable laws and policies, exercise sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues.
