About The Position

The Genito Branch Part-Time Teller provides superior member service by accurately and efficiently performing teller transactions in accordance with VACU policies and procedures. The role builds and maintains member relationships by recommending VACU products and services. The schedule includes every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and availability throughout Monday through Friday, with one to two weekdays off. The stated salary range is $18.67–$20.62.

Requirements

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
Cash-handling or business experience, preferably at a financial institution.
Math aptitude.
Professional appearance, manner, and communication skills.
Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift up to 30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Good understanding of products and services offered by financial institutions.
Satisfactory computer skills.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of VACU teller-area policies and procedures, including security and information security.
Maintain knowledge of VACU products and services to meet member needs and make appropriate referrals.
Perform paying and receiving transactions, including deposits, check cashing, loan payments, miscellaneous sales, and cash advances, with accurate balancing and reporting.
Process transactions proficiently, exercise good judgment, and seek approval for transactions beyond the teller’s authority.
Verify and balance the assigned cash drawer daily, assist with reconciling errors or discrepancies, and maintain cash levels or limits as required by VACU policy.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of safe deposit box access procedures.
Provide quality service in accordance with member service expectations.
Meet teller performance documentation expectations for service quality, operations, and sales.
Comply with enterprise policies and procedures, complete required ongoing training including BSA, OFAC, and Information Security, and report Risk Management Policy violations in accordance with policy.
Perform other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor.
