Genito Branch Part-Time Teller - 20 Hours

About The Position

The Teller provides superior member service by accurately and efficiently performing teller transactions in accordance with VACU policies and procedures. The role builds and maintains member relationships by recommending VACU products and services. The schedule is 20 hours per week and includes every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., plus availability all day Monday through Friday, with one to two weekdays off.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Cash-handling or business experience, preferably at a financial institution.
Math aptitude.
Professional appearance, manner, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Good understanding of products and services offered by financial institutions.
Satisfactory computer skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain knowledge of VACU teller-area policies and procedures, including security and information security.
Maintain knowledge of VACU products and services and make appropriate product and service referrals.
Perform paying and receiving transactions accurately, including deposits, check cashing, loan payments, miscellaneous sales, and cash advances.
Exercise sound judgment when handling transactions and seek approval for transactions beyond the assigned authority level.
Verify and balance the assigned cash drawer daily, assist with reconciling errors or discrepancies, and maintain cash levels in accordance with VACU policy.
Demonstrate basic knowledge of safe deposit box access procedures.
Provide quality service in accordance with member service expectations.
Meet teller performance documentation expectations for service quality, operations, and sales.
Comply with enterprise policies and procedures, including Risk Management policies, and complete required ongoing training, including BSA, OFAC, and Information Security.
Report Risk Management Policy violations in accordance with policy.
Perform other duties as required and assigned by the supervisor.
