About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Teller to join its National Branch Network. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, accurate transactions, and a welcoming, reliable experience. The Teller is a primary customer contact and represents the branch through strong service, attention to detail, and genuine care. The role builds foundational banking skills by helping identify customer needs and introducing relevant products, services, and digital tools. Tellers connect customers to bankers for detailed product discussions and work with branch teammates to support daily operations and a consistent customer experience. Wells Fargo describes the position as an entry point to retail banking with potential for long-term career growth, supported by training, coaching, and a team-based culture. The base pay range is $20.00–$26.00; pay may vary based on factors such as prior performance, skills, experience, and work location, and employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Accurately process customer transactions and provide a positive, reliable branch experience.
Process routine transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and direct them to efficient banking methods, digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build customer relationships by listening to understand everyday financial needs and connecting customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in line with policies and controls.
Clarify customer needs through communication and active listening, and provide clear solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues for timely resolution.
