About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring a Teller for its National Branch Network. This front-line, customer-focused role supports customers’ everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions. The Teller accurately completes transactions while providing a welcoming and reliable experience and serves as a primary point of contact for customers. The role involves learning about customers’ needs, introducing helpful products, services, and digital banking tools, and connecting customers with a banker for detailed product conversations. Tellers work with branch teammates to support daily operations and deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. The position provides exposure to retail banking and is described as a starting point for career growth, supported by Wells Fargo training, coaching, and a team-based culture. The schedule will include Saturdays. The position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship. The posting location is 405 Dakota Ave S, Huron, South Dakota 57350.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Responsibilities

Accurately process transactions and engage customers with care to deliver a positive, reliable branch experience.
Process routine service transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing.
Welcome customers, understand their needs, and guide them to efficient banking options, including digital tools, self-service options, or the appropriate team member.
Build relationships and listen actively to understand everyday financial needs; connect customers to relevant information, services, digital tools, or bankers.
Identify potential product or service needs, introduce solutions at a high level, and refer customers to a banker for detailed guidance.
Complete transactional and operational activities accurately, exercise sound judgment, and manage risk in accordance with policies and controls.
Communicate clearly and listen actively to clarify customer needs and provide simple solutions or next steps.
Collaborate with branch teammates, follow leadership direction, and escalate complex situations as needed.
Resolve routine customer questions or concerns and escalate more complex issues to support timely resolution.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; escalate and remediate issues as appropriate.
