Part-Time Teller (20 Hours) - North Babylon Branch
About The Position
The Teller is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with branch activities, including day-to-day client-facing services and transaction processing, in coordination with the Customer Service function. The role aims to provide high-quality customer service and help the branch generate revenue by delivering optimal solutions. The position is part-time, 20 hours, at Citi’s North Babylon branch. Employees are expected to meet clients’ needs while providing an exceptional experience, as measured by specific metrics. They must also assess risk appropriately in business decisions, protect the firm’s reputation and assets, comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies, use sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.
Requirements
- Demonstrated sales and customer service experience.
- Money-handling experience.
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for Citi clients and provide friendly, efficient customer service.
- Perform accurate banking transactions, manage the branch’s cash supply, process incoming and outgoing cash deposits, and maintain branch vault cash.
- Identify opportunities to refer clients to products and services based on their financial goals.
- Educate clients about Citi’s digital and self-service opportunities.
- Follow bank policies, operational controls, and regulatory procedures to protect client and bank assets.
- Meet client needs, manage client issues and concerns, and escalate them as needed.
- Maintain working knowledge of client accounts and new and existing products and services.
- Assess risk appropriately, support compliance with laws, rules, regulations, and policy, apply sound ethical judgment, and transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues.
