The Teller serves as the face of the credit union, processing member transactions, answering questions, and supporting members’ financial needs. The position requires courteous, professional, accurate, and confidential service, along with knowledge of credit union products and services and compliance with applicable procedures and regulations.

Requirements

One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
High school education or GED.
Intermediate PC knowledge and basic Microsoft Office skills.
Detail-oriented and able to multitask.
Good judgment to evaluate identities, accounts, checks, and currency.
Excellent communication skills and a pleasant tone.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Able to move around the branch, sit and stand for extended periods, and perform light lifting.

Nice To Haves

Six months of cash-handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive, evaluate, and process financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier checks, transfers, and credit card cash advances.
Ensure transactions comply with the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and Customer Identification Program requirements.
Post transactions to member accounts and maintain member records according to credit union procedures and guidelines.
Greet members and potential members, provide routine information, and respond accurately and confidentially to their needs.
Promote, explain, and cross-sell credit union products and services, and direct members to appropriate services.
Balance the cash drawer daily, research and resolve discrepancies, and report discrepancies to the Head Teller.
Assist with reconciling daily transactions and ensure cash, checks, vouchers, and recyclers match system records.
Assist with daily processing of mail, night drop, and ATM deposits.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
