About The Position

At Landmark Credit Union, the Teller serves members by accurately receiving and paying out funds and providing cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. The role also presents and explains a basic number of credit union products and services, cross-sells member services, and represents the credit union in a positive and professional manner. This is a 40-hour-per-week position requiring weekday shifts and every other Saturday. Branch hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM; and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The position may involve training for additional branch duties and attendance at training at headquarters or an off-site location.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and within deadlines.
Experience with, or the ability to gain proficiency in, all programs and systems used for the job.
Develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures related to the position and comply with company policies and procedures and job-related state and federal laws and regulations.
Ability to stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

Fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.
Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and related services to members while balancing the cash drawer daily.
Cross-sell other member services.
Process mail deposits and withdrawals.
Assist with balancing the ATM if the task is not performed by an outside source.
May train to perform opening and closing duties with a manager on site.
May train to verify checks for other tellers.
May train to perform overrides.
May be cross-trained to help in other branch positions.
Attend training at headquarters or an off-site location if required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
