About The Position

The Teller Manager efficiently manages and supervises Teller area operations and staff sales activities. The role ensures customers are served promptly and department activity balances at the end of each business day. The Teller Manager collaborates with managers, supervisors, and staff across locations to deliver FirstBank’s distinctive service consistently.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least five years of experience, including specific Teller experience.
Must be bondable.

Responsibilities

Monitor Teller execution of daily sales and service, ensuring best practices, high-quality service, bank guidelines, and the brand model are followed to maximize opportunities and meet customers’ financial needs; personally perform these activities as needed.
Answer escalated inquiries from Teller staff and advanced customer inquiries; coach and lead Teller staff in effective sales and referral activities.
Manage and supervise daily Teller operational standards, including cash drawer security and balancing, item capture, counterfeit currency identification, vault and branch cash management, and ATM balancing.
Train and coach new Tellers, monitor their performance, and schedule and supervise Teller staff activities.
Protect the bank from unnecessary risk or exposure by modeling procedures and confidentiality guidelines, including those concerning currency transaction reports, suspicious activity reports, Regulation CC holds and documentation, and robbery procedures.
Communicate and collaborate with Financial Center and Bank leadership regarding Teller activities and needs.
May serve as the branch Security Coordinator when needed.
Participate in marketing initiatives and represent the Bank at branch activities and community events.
Model and provide consistent, distinctive service to customers through the FirstBank service experience.
Manage Teller staff to ensure safe and sound banking practices, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, risk management policies, and security protocols.
