About The Position

Tellers sustain and elevate the trust and satisfaction of Tri Counties Bank customers by expertly executing account transactions, referring customers to banking partners, and proactively initiating telephone contact with account holders. The role safeguards a cash fund of up to $25,000 and maintains accurate records of deposits and disbursements. Tellers execute an average of 25–50 account transactions per day for customers visiting the branch and regularly use nine desktop computer applications for teller transactions, account inquiries and maintenance, federal compliance, customer reports and documents, relationship management, transaction source capture, foreign currency transactions, internal communications, and timekeeping.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Effective selling and cross-selling skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to use personal computers and Windows-based programs.
Ability to successfully complete the Bank’s product and sales training courses.

Responsibilities

Handle customer service transactions, including receiving and disbursing funds, posting deposits, and withdrawing funds.
Provide information and assistance researching customer problems, balance a cash drawer daily, and answer customer inquiries.
Identify customers’ financial needs and recommend bank products and services.
Refer retail loan and deposit products and meet assigned referral goals.
Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly service, handling customer transactions accurately and according to guidelines.
Follow cash and security procedures and account for assigned cash.
Balance and maintain the cash drawer within limits.
Complete necessary documentation and data entry.
Process deposit and loan transactions.
Make outbound calls to new and existing customers to maintain contact and meet servicing needs.
Maintain current knowledge of Bank policies and procedures and comply with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
