About The Position

WellNow Urgent Care is hiring a seasonal Telehealth Cart Technician to support urgent care patients. The technician facilitates video consultations with Virtual Care Providers using a Telehealth Cart, assists with patient care and testing, documents patient information, and helps maintain a clean, well-stocked clinical environment. The role includes a 0–25% travel requirement and pays $18.00 per hour. WellNow describes itself as having more than 150 locations across New York, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, with opportunities for colleagues to transfer among facilities in its markets.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience, or experience/education as an X-Ray professional, Medical Assistant, LPN, BSN, or NP/PA medical student is preferred.
• Preferred experience using telehealth platforms.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate video consultations so patients can connect with a Virtual Care Provider via Telehealth Cart.
• Take patient histories and obtain vital signs.
• Complete paperwork and computer work for lab tests ordered on blood, urine, and culture samples.
• Perform point-of-care tests such as strep, mono, glucose, influenza, urine pregnancy, urinalysis, and blood glucose testing.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
• Ensure equipment is in working order.
• Round with patients.
• Log laboratory procedures and process related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.
• Maintain examination rooms and stock necessary medical supplies.
• Perform duties that support good patient flow.
• Accurately and thoroughly document patient medical histories and procedures.
• Greet patients.
• Print, scan, and fax reports.
• Perform daily cleaning duties to maintain a clean and sterile patient environment.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Participate in continued clinical and patient experience training and support WellNow's urgent-care focus on quick, convenient, quality care for the community.
