Seasonal Telehealth Cart Technician

About The Position

WellNow Urgent Care is hiring a seasonal Telehealth Cart Technician to support urgent care patients and facilitate video consultations with Virtual Care Providers. The role includes taking patient histories and vital signs, performing point-of-care tests, documenting procedures and medical histories, and processing laboratory paperwork. The technician also helps maintain patient flow, examination rooms, equipment, and a clean, sterile environment. The position has a 0–25% travel requirement and pays $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
At least 1 year of patient care experience, or experience/education as an X-Ray, Medical Assistant, LPN, BSN, or NP/PA medical student is preferred.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
Travel requirement of 0–25%.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of patient care experience or X-Ray, Medical Assistant, LPN, BSN, or NP/PA medical student experience.
Experience utilizing telehealth platforms.

Responsibilities

Facilitate video consultations for patients connecting with a Virtual Care Provider via Telehealth Cart.
Take patient histories and obtain vital signs.
Complete corresponding paperwork and computer work for lab tests ordered on blood, urine, and culture samples.
Perform point-of-care testing, including strep, mono, glucose, influenza, urine pregnancy, urinalysis, and blood glucose tests.
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA.
Ensure equipment is in working order.
Round with patients.
Log laboratory procedures when completed and process related paperwork using computer equipment as directed.
Maintain examination rooms and stock necessary medical supplies.
Perform duties that support good patient flow.
Accurately and thoroughly document patient medical histories and procedures.
Greet patients.
Print, scan, and fax reports.
Perform daily cleaning duties to maintain a clean and sterile patient environment.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Participate in continued clinical and patient experience training while supporting WellNow's urgent care focus on quick, convenient, quality care for its communities.
