Technology Sales Representative
About The Position
The Technology Sales Representative serves as the customer-facing subject matter expert on technology, working with Machine Sales and Product Support to promote Product Link, Condition Monitoring, Vision Link, and emerging technology products and services. The role trains internal and external users on Vision Link Unified Suites, keeps Machine Sales and Product Support informed about emerging technology, and helps customers select, introduce, and implement technology solutions. The position also supports Trimble on-highway telematics and assists Product Support Division (PSD) personnel in understanding and navigating available technology. Ring Power Corporation is a Cat Equipment dealer headquartered in St. Augustine, Florida, with branch and specialized sales and service locations in Florida and other states. The company describes its focus as customer service and ongoing employee training to support customers and equipment after the sale.
Requirements
- 5 to 7 years of sales experience, with an emphasis in Product Support.
- Superior computer skills with office systems, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to comprehend, speak, and write English.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- High school diploma or related equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or related equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the customer-facing subject matter expert on technology, working with Machine Sales and Product Support.
- Promote Product Link, Condition Monitoring, Vision Link, and emerging technology products and services.
- Train internal and external users on Vision Link Unified Suites.
- Keep Machine Sales and Product Support informed about emerging technology.
- Promote Condition Monitoring services and associated technology.
- Provide customers with mixed-fleet telematics solutions.
- Recommend Product Link devices and applications.
- Assist customers with the introduction and implementation of Cat Inspect.
- Support Trimble on-highway telematics systems.
- Introduce and promote my.cat.com.
- Assist PSD in navigating and understanding available technology.
