About The Position

Walmart is recruiting a Landscape Operator for its local retail stores. The Exterior Services Technician - DOT Operator helps oversee landscape projects and works with a team to maintain store grounds year-round. The role involves mowing, trimming, pruning, and other exterior maintenance to keep the grounds clean and well maintained. The position is based at 135 NE Terry Ln, Grants Pass, Oregon.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid state-issued driver's license.
• Read and communicate effectively in English.
• Have no DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless-driving convictions involving alcohol or drugs within the last three years.
• If operating a commercial motor vehicle, have no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• If operating a commercial motor vehicle, have no serious traffic violations, as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, in the last three years.
• If operating a commercial motor vehicle, have no preventable accidents, as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, in the last three years.
• Successfully complete a DOT physical and obtain medical certification before hire.
• Have two years of experience in the landscaping or gardening industry.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to maintain a Medical Examiner’s Certification card valid for at least 90 days.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or a related area.
• Experience in third-party management.
• Intermediate-level experience with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in speaking and understanding Spanish.
• State or local licensing where required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct grounds maintenance in parking lots, around exterior buildings, and in surrounding areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Work with fellow associates to manage landscaping and exterior maintenance.
• Follow safety, security, and integrity protocols and comply with corporate policies and local, federal, and state regulations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines.
• Evaluate landscaping needs and implement sustainable upgrades.
• Mow, trim, and prune to maintain the exterior environment.
