About The Position

Walmart is hiring an Exterior Services Technician - DOT Operator to help maintain store grounds year-round. The role involves landscaping and exterior maintenance at parking lots, exterior buildings, and surrounding areas, including mowing, trimming, and pruning. The technician works with other associates to keep exterior spaces clean and well maintained, evaluates landscaping needs, and implements sustainable upgrades. The position requires compliance with safety, security, and integrity protocols, company policies, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and EPA guidelines.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver's license.
• Have no DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving convictions involving alcohol or drugs within the last three years.
• Have no more than two moving violations in the last three years if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
• Have no serious traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last three years if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• Successfully complete a DOT physical and obtain medical certification before hire.
• Be able to read and speak English.
• Have two years of experience in the landscaping or gardening industry.

Nice To Haves

• Maintain a minimum 90-day Medical Examiner’s Certification (MEC) card.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or a related area.
• Experience in third-party management.
• Intermediate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in speaking and understanding Spanish.
• State or local licensing where required.
