About The Position

Relativity Space is seeking a Technical Trainer, Structures for a 12-month contract position to support the Vehicle Structures team. This role involves providing technical training on critical structural assembly and quality processes, including hands-on demonstrations of advanced manufacturing techniques such as precision drilling, trimming, fitting, clamping, and sealant/lubricant application. The trainer will also educate team members on fastener selection, installation, torque application, and QA buy-off procedures, and contribute to the development and documentation of training materials for structural manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Expert-level proficiency in all core structural manufacturing skills: precision drilling, trimming, fitting, clamping, and proper mixing/application of aerospace sealants and lubricants.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance processes, including QA buy-off procedures, deburring to specification, aerospace fastener types and installation, and torque application, verification, and documentation.
  • Demonstrated skill in operating specialized manufacturing equipment and precision measuring tools (90-degree motors, rivet guns, calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, feeler/hole gauges).
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities with proven capability to clearly and safely demonstrate techniques and explain complex manufacturing processes aligned to safety protocols and quality standards.

Nice To Haves

  • 8+ years of technical training experience (aerospace maintenance or manufacturing preferred).
  • Background in developing technical training materials, standard operating procedures, and/or process documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical training support for the Vehicle Structures team, demonstrating expertise across all critical structural assembly and quality processes.
  • Deliver hands-on demonstrations of advanced manufacturing techniques including precision drilling, trimming, fitting, clamping, mixing, and sealant/lubricant application.

  • Support the development and documentation of training materials for structural manufacturing processes.
