About The Position

Castolin Eutectic is seeking a Wear Solutions Specialist to develop and grow wear services within strategic accounts across Ontario, with a focus on mining and surrounding communities such as Timmins. The role is home-based and involves developing a territory and building relationships with end users and OEMs in mining, power generation, paper and pulp, cement, and steel. The specialist will use Castolin Eutectic’s wear-resistant products, technologies, and services—including CDP wearplate, Castotube, and LaserClad—to provide tailored solutions that help heavy industries reduce downtime, extend equipment life, and improve productivity. As a member of the Wear Services Business Unit, the specialist will identify new business opportunities, develop existing accounts, maintain a CRM opportunity pipeline, and provide technical, design, and product support. The role involves collaborating with the Wear Solutions team and colleagues in other regions, meeting sales and profitability targets, representing the company at industry events, and maintaining CRM documentation and weekly expense reports. Compensation includes a base salary, uncapped commission, performance bonus opportunities, and a vehicle allowance.

Requirements

At least 5 years of relevant wear solutions experience in one or more of mining, power generation, paper and pulp, cement, or steel operations. Relevant backgrounds may include maintenance manager, plant manager, millwright, sales professional, or a similar role.
Solid understanding of surface protection and wear management solutions.
Comfort speaking with maintenance, engineering, and purchasing personnel within key accounts.
Basic understanding of the company’s key clients and their positions in the industry.
Consultative communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude.
Knowledge of basic print-reading skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Self-motivated and self-directed.

Responsibilities

Grow Castolin Eutectic’s wear services and related products by targeting strategic accounts in mining, power generation, paper and pulp, cement, and steel.
Work with the Wear Solutions team to provide technical and application support.
Build and maintain relationships with customers, including end users and OEMs, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
Identify prospects and customer needs that match the company’s service capabilities.
Develop messaging for new customer acquisition and expansion of existing customers.
Maintain a pipeline of opportunities in the CRM.
Provide technical, design, and product support, answer wear-related questions, and assist with proposals and quotations.
Collaborate with other regions to share best practices and improve technical and commercial approaches.
Achieve sales volume and revenue targets and improve gross profit margins for the Wear Services business.
Support the development of the organization’s vision, mission, and objectives to generate revenue and profitability.
Identify, communicate, and support resolution of critical business issues.
Represent the company at marketing events, trade shows, conferences, and training workshops.
Keep key CRM documentation updated and submit expense reports weekly.
