About The Position

The Technical Product & Solutions Specialist is a technical, customer-facing product role focused on AUTOSPEX®, infrastructure condition assessment, and product development. The specialist develops deep expertise in the platform and helps customers and internal teams understand and apply it to real-world needs. The role combines customer onboarding and support, technical guidance, customer discovery, backlog coordination, and translating customer insights into actionable requirements for Product, Engineering, Data Capture, and R&D. It works closely with the Chief Product Officer, who retains ownership of product strategy, roadmap commitments, and major scope or priority decisions. Engineering retains responsibility for technical design, estimates, and implementation. The specialist also supports Sales and Portfolio Growth with technical expertise when needed, while those teams retain commercial ownership. The role owns day-to-day customer onboarding, product follow-up, and backlog coordination, moving routine work forward within agreed priorities. It includes learning customers’ workflows and objectives, distinguishing product gaps from training or process issues, identifying recurring needs, and helping improve AUTOSPEX® and customer outcomes. The position is remote within Canada, with occasional travel to customer sites, and is part of Niricson’s remote-first global team. Niricson describes itself as a growing technology scale-up working on technology used to assess critical infrastructure, including dams, bridges, and airfields. The company emphasizes ownership, open communication, collaboration, integrity, innovation, good judgment, and passion for its mission of making infrastructure safer.

  • Translate customer feedback into clear product and workflow requirements, providing evidence and context rather than simply passing on feature requests.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog in Jira, consolidating feedback, ideas, and issues; removing duplicates; linking evidence; and keeping statuses current.
  • Work with the CPO, design, and Engineering to prepare features for development by documenting user stories, workflows, acceptance criteria, edge cases, dependencies, and open questions.

  • Coordinate sales support with the CPO so onboarding, issue follow-up, and product preparation remain the primary focus.
  • Maintain internal and customer-facing documentation, use cases, technical requirements, onboarding guides, support resources, feature guidance, training materials, and technical guidance.
  • Identify recurring customer questions and recommend improvements to product documentation and enablement; share customer insights across Product, Engineering, Sales, Operations, and leadership.
  • Help ensure customer-facing teams accurately understand AUTOSPEX®’s capabilities and limitations.
