Technical Product Manager - Payouts
About The Position
Félix is hiring a Technical Product Manager to own the vision, roadmap, and results for its Payouts Platform, the shared service Félix products use to send money from the US to Latin America and other markets. The platform supports bank transfers, instant payment rails, wallets, cards, cash networks, and crypto rails. The goal is to make payouts fast, reliable, and low-cost in every market Félix serves. The role involves making payouts a reusable, self-serve capability that product teams can adopt, expanding coverage across markets and payment rails, shaping payout-partner strategy, and improving routing, validation, reliability, speed, and cost. The Product Manager will work with Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Treasury, product teams, and Business Development. Engineering owns delivery, while Business Development owns commercial partner relationships. Félix is a hyper-growth Series C company building financial services for Latinos in the US, beginning with cross-border remittances and expanding into credit, savings, and wallet services. Requirements
- At least 5 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years working on payments, payouts, or money movement products.
- Experience owning a product whose primary customers were other teams or developers.
- Understanding of payout rails and partners, including settlement timing, returns, failure modes, and partner service-level agreements.
- Track record of taking third-party integrations from evaluation through production in collaboration with Engineering and commercial teams.
- Comfort with SQL and defining and tracking reliability and cost metrics.
- Ability to explain trade-offs clearly to engineers, Operations teams, and executives.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Latin American payment rails, such as SPEI, PIX, or ACH-style bank transfers.
- Experience with crypto or stablecoin rails for payouts or settlement.
- Working knowledge of payments compliance, such as sanctions screening and transaction monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Set the Payouts Platform vision and roadmap, balancing new capabilities, reliability, and cost.
- Build payouts as a shared, self-serve capability that product teams can adopt quickly.
- Choose markets and rails for investment and lead the platform side of launches with FX, Compliance, and Treasury.
- Define payout-partner requirements, compare partner performance, and decide which providers to integrate or route more volume to.
- Work with Business Development on partner decisions for new capabilities; Business Development owns commercial relationships.
- Define routing and validation strategies to improve payout success rates and speed while lowering cost per payout.
- Prioritize improvements that reduce manual handling of failed and returned payouts, working with Operations and the Ops Platform.
- Provide product teams with real-time visibility into every payout.
- Coordinate with Compliance on screening, Treasury on liquidity, and product teams on the experiences built on the platform.
- Define service reliability and performance commitments for product teams and prioritize work to meet them with Engineering.
- Report on payout success, speed, and cost.
