About The Position

The Teamcenter Technical Lead will design and deliver secure, supportable, and SaaS-compliant Teamcenter X enhancements, defect fixes, automation, and minor migration within committed L3 core and flex capacity. The role covers the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements clarification, impact assessment, estimation, solution design, development, testing, UAT support, release documentation, and hypercare. The consultant will favor configuration-first solutions using BMIDE and Active Workspace (AWC), customizing only with business justification, CAB approval, and Siemens validation. The position also develops Teamcenter integrations and extensions, resolves complex defects, and maintains technical documentation, source control, traceability, and customization records. The role is based in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Requirements

8–10 years of experience.
Experience with PLM-Teamcenter applications.
BMIDE: business objects, properties, LOVs, naming, display, deep-copy and GRM rules, extensions, and package deployment.
ITK in C/C++, custom exits, workflow rule and action handlers, utilities, and server-side extensions.
SOA and REST integration patterns, OOTB services, error handling, and secure authentication.
Active Workspace configuration and customization, including tiles, workspaces, commands, menus, icons, columns, stylesheets, and validations.
Teamcenter modules including Structure Manager, Workflow Designer, Query Builder, Report Builder, PLMXML/TCXML, ACL, and organization.
Data migration and correction using approved tools and utilities, including validation and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

Clarify requirements, assess impact, estimate work, design solutions, develop, conduct unit and system testing, support UAT, prepare release documentation, and provide hypercare.
Implement configuration-first solutions using BMIDE and AWC; customize only after business justification, CAB approval, and Siemens validation.
Develop ITK and SOA/REST integrations, workflow handlers, utilities, reports, and controlled migration or data-correction scripts.
Resolve complex defects involving the data model, workflows, security, BOM, change, reporting, and user interface.
Create automated regression assets, code-review evidence, static and security scan inputs, and rollback plans.
Maintain the customization registry, technical designs, source control, and traceability.
