ERP Techno-Functional Consultant
About The Position
Coforge is hiring an ERP Techno-Functional Consultant for a business-facing role focused on supporting and enhancing retail ERP and warehouse management applications. The consultant will learn the application landscape and end-to-end business processes, work closely with business users, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and communicate technical concepts in business terms. The position is based in Monrovia, California, with three days onsite per week. The role emphasizes production support, reducing ticket volume, identifying root causes, and implementing permanent solutions. It also supports enhancements through the full SDLC, from requirements gathering through deployment and hypercare. The consultant will participate in design discussions, validate implementation-partner deliverables, lead testing activities, and build application knowledge, documentation, and business process expertise over time. Grocery and food industry experience is highly preferred.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience.
- Strong experience with ERP solutions such as Oracle, JDE, JDA, or similar retail ERP/WMS solutions.
- Strong retail domain knowledge, including merchandising, procurement, replenishment, and warehouse and store inventory.
- Strong SQL skills on Oracle and ability to read and debug PL/SQL and Java.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux, shell scripts, and batch scheduling tools.
- Experience with system integrations, including EDI, flat files, XML, and web services.
- Solid grasp of SDLC and testing practices in Agile and Waterfall delivery.
- Experience with ITIL incident, problem, and change management and a ticketing tool such as Jira.
- Excellent written documentation skills, including requirements, specifications, test cases, and SOPs.

Responsibilities

- Validate development work delivered by implementation partners to ensure it meets business requirements.
- Translate functional requirements into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications for developers.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and drive permanent fixes through problem management.
- Lead testing activities, including SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
- Support and lead enhancement initiatives through the full SDLC, from requirements gathering through deployment and hypercare.
- Build application knowledge, documentation, and business process expertise over time.
