Part-Time Team Member - Pet Supplies (Leander)
About The Position
Tomlinson’s Feed is hiring a part-time Team Member for its Leander pet supplies store. Team Members help guests find appropriate pet nutrition and supplies while supporting sales goals, store operations, appearance, and the company’s service-focused culture. The role starts at $15 per hour, with eligibility for performance-based wage increases. This active position spends most of each shift on the sales floor assisting and selling to guests. Duties also include unloading shipments, rotating stock, keeping the store clean, well stocked, and inspection-ready, and communicating with store leadership. The schedule is flexible and includes evenings and weekends.
Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly to stock the store and carry purchases for guests.
- Be on your feet for the majority of the shift.
- Work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent presence on the sales floor and assist guests.
- Actively sell Tomlinson’s core products and work toward sales goals.
- Build rapport with guests and provide customer service that exceeds expectations.
- Unload shipments, rotate stock, and help keep the store inspection-ready.
- Support and advocate for company and store leadership initiatives.
- Represent the company’s reputation, culture, and vision while building guest relationships through service and pet-focused selling.
- Maintain the store’s appearance according to Tomlinson’s Brand Standards, keeping it well lit, stocked, clean, clutter-free, warm, and welcoming.
- Communicate regularly with store leadership about store operations and needs.
- Attend required store meetings and trainings.
