Part-Time Team Member - Pet Supplies (South Congress)
About The Position
Tomlinson’s Feed is hiring a part-time Team Member for its South Congress location. The role focuses on helping guests on the sales floor, selling pet products, maintaining store standards, and supporting deliveries as needed. Team Members are expected to provide excellent customer service and pet-focused product guidance while helping keep the store stocked, clean, organized, and inspection-ready. The position is active and requires standing for most of the shift and regularly lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. The starting wage is $15 per hour, with eligibility for performance-based increases.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to remain on their feet for the majority of a shift.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must have access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
- Must have up-to-date vehicle registration.
- Must have a smartphone capable of using the delivery app for navigation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent presence on the sales floor and help guests.
- Actively sell Tomlinson’s core products and work toward sales goals.
- Build rapport with guests and provide service that exceeds their expectations.
- Unload shipments, rotate stock, and help maintain an inspection-ready store.
- Support and advocate for company and store leadership initiatives.
- Represent the company’s reputation, culture, and vision while building guest relationships through strong service and pet-focused selling.
- Maintain the store’s appearance in accordance with Tomlinson’s Brand Standards, including keeping it well lit, stocked, clean, clutter-free, and welcoming.
- Keep the store inspection-ready, particularly on scheduled inspection dates.
- Communicate regularly with store leadership about store operations and needs.
- Attend required store meetings and trainings.
- Assist with deliveries as needed.
