About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Cost Accounting course (ADM3346) during the Fall 2026 semester at the Telfer School of Management. The role involves giving labs, holding office hours, marking quizzes and assignments, and proctoring exams. The total estimated work hours are 83, with potential for increase based on enrollment. The work must be performed in Ottawa, and candidates will be interviewed by the course professor/coordinator. The hiring process is governed by the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.

Requirements

Strong understanding of cost accounting
Ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear, structured feedback
Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently
Minimum C.G.P.A. of 7.0
Minimum grade of A- in ADM 3346 or its equivalent
Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course (with the exception of official University holidays), including through the grading of the final exam and calculation of final grades by the professor.
Access to a computer, internet, microphone and webcam

Experience with online course delivery considered an asset
Experience with online videoconferencing environment considered an asset (ex. Microsoft Teams)
Preference will be given to higher grades
Preference will be given to candidates who have previously been teaching assistants or markers for this course
Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in Telfer programs
