This posting is for a new position as a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor for the course DVM3506, Section A00, titled "Femmes, genre et développement" (Women, Gender and Development). The course is a 3-credit offering in the Faculty of Social Sciences, School of International Development and Global Studies, for the Fall 2026 semester. The course provides a critical introduction to the issues of women, gender, and development, examining it as both a theoretical field of study and a domain of supranational, governmental, and non-governmental interventions. It analyzes key development paradigms and their potential impact on the needs and concerns of women in the Global South. The course is primarily a lecture-based format. All courses for the Fall 2026 semester are offered in person. The nature of the work involves a variety of tasks such as facilitating discussion groups, grading assignments and exams, consulting with students, and proctoring exams. The hiring process will be governed by the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
