About The Position

This is a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the course EMP5250, Introduction to Corporate Finance, Section A, for the Fall 2026 semester. The position is for a new role within the Faculty of Engineering, School of Engineering Design and Teaching Innovation. The total work hours for this position are 32.5. The hiring process will be governed by the current CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

• Have taken the course in the past and/or can demonstrate that they have at least a year of relevant work experience (co-op, internship, past employment).
• All University of Ottawa employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.

• Students who have held a TA position in the past and meet the above condition will be given priority.

Responsibilities

• Contact with Students: 10 hours
• Grading: 19 hours
• Proctoring: 3 hours
• Proctoring mid-term and final exam (if necessary)
