About The Position

The Takeout/Food Runner supports restaurant service by helping maintain table appearance, running food and drinks, and assisting guests with takeout and curbside pickup. The role involves using the POS system to enter orders and process payments, communicating menu and promotion information to guests, and packing and verifying ToGo orders with guests. The position also includes assigned shift-change, opening, closing, and sidework duties, while following company safety and sanitation policies.

Requirements

• Physically stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
• Frequently reach, bend, and stoop.
• Deliver plates and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Speak, read, and write English.
• Read and write handwritten guest checks and notes.
• Complete and pass the Florida Responsible Vendor program in compliance with Flanigan’s requirements and Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass a food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s requirements and Florida statutes.
• Work flexible hours.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Support fellow employees with table appearance and food and drink running as needed.
• Know Food & Beverage menus, items, current promotions, and specials, and answer guests’ questions clearly.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system.
• Retrieve food or drink orders from the kitchen or bar and deliver them to guests in a timely manner.
• Collect guest payments by credit card, cash, or gift card; process transactions accurately using the POS and deliver correct change promptly.
• Perform shift changes, opening and closing duties, and assigned sidework.
• Pack and verify all ToGo orders with the guest.
• Greet guests at the curbside pickup area.
