About The Position

The Host is the first and last point of contact for guests at Flanigan’s and helps set the tone for their experience by greeting them warmly, escorting them to tables, managing seating flow, answering inquiries, and wishing them well as they leave. The role also includes keeping the foyer, host station, wait area, menus, and restrooms clean and stocked; answering telephone calls; communicating guest questions or concerns to the Manager on duty; and completing shift changes, opening and closing duties, and assigned sidework.

Requirements

• Frequently reach, bend, and stoop.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Complete and pass the Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass the food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cheerful and courteous temperament and a neat, clean, professional image.
• Greet guests with Flanigan’s “Smile Talk.”
• Engage guests in “Smile Talk” while escorting them to their table in a timely manner.
• Efficiently manage the wait list for seating.
• Communicate guests’ questions or concerns to the Manager on duty.
• Keep the foyer, host station, and wait area clean and free of debris; clean and restock menus.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.
• Answer telephone calls within four rings, answer guests’ questions, and/or direct guests to the appropriate staff member.
• Conclude guests’ visits with Flanigan’s “Smile Talk.”
• Perform shift changes, opening and closing duties, and assigned sidework.
