About The Position

The Dishwasher helps keep the restaurant clean and sanitary inside and out. This role is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishware, cookware, utensils, and kitchen areas to company standards, while supporting restaurant operations through prep work and opening, closing, and beautification duties.

Requirements

• Be able to stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
• Be able to reach, bend, and stoop.
• Be able to immerse hands frequently in water diluted with chemical solutions.
• Be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds several times per shift and lift heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, and freezers.
• Be able to work in a damp, high-temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors.
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, and pans.
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Wash and provide clean, sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils according to Flanigan’s sanitation policies.
• Clean and sanitize throughout the shift.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris from floors.
• Perform assigned prep work, opening and closing duties, and beautification duties.
• Prepare and maintain the dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing.
• Support fellow employees as needed.
• Complete and pass the food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s policies and Florida statutes.
