About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with high-quality alterations service by measuring customers, fitting garments, and marking areas requiring alterations. The role involves completing fittings and sewing alterations on time in accordance with Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The Tailor also works toward department and individual productivity goals, follows appropriate processes, and uses store technology to manage customer alteration needs. Through teamwork and collaboration, the Tailor helps deliver customer expectations and provides professional, friendly guidance to customers and employees on fit, style, garment construction, and trends. The schedule may be flexible based on business needs.

Requirements

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; 2–3 years is preferred.
Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 2–3 years of fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience is preferred.
