About The Position

The Sewer/Presser provides high-quality sewing and pressing service to customers while following Nordstrom guidelines and service standards. The role involves completing alteration work on time, meeting productivity goals, managing customer alteration needs using store technology, and collaborating with the Alterations and Store teams. The employee must be willing to learn and safely operate sewing, pressing, and standard alterations equipment, and work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

Requirements

• Previous sewing and pressing experience; a minimum of 2–3 years is preferred.
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
• Ability to embrace a flexible working schedule based on business needs.
