About The Position
The Store Support employee provides customer service at the point of sale, assisting customers by phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions. The role helps keep service quick, easy, and enjoyable by listening to customer needs and sharing knowledge of fashion. Employees maintain a tidy, stocked cash wrap and sales floor, stay informed about fashion trends and products, and build customer relationships by sharing information about events, gift cards, and Nordstrom Rewards. The role may also support order fulfillment and order pick-up in other areas of the store. This is a seasonal position at the La Jolla University Town Center. The role requires continuous movement for 6–8 hours per shift, frequent use of hands, and handling merchandise, including bulky items. Employees regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. The listed pay range is $18.85–$19.65 per hour; pay offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Assist customers over the phone and at checkout with sales, returns, and other transactions while delivering excellent customer service.
- Listen to customer needs and provide a quick, easy, and enjoyable service experience.
- Keep the department ready for customers by straightening, lightly cleaning, and restocking the cash wrap area and sales floor.
- Stay informed about key fashion trends and products to help customers with purchase decisions.
- Build customer relationships by sharing information about upcoming events, Nordstrom gift cards, and the Nordstrom Rewards program.
- Provide flexible support to other store areas, including order fulfillment and order pick-up.
