About The Position

Northrop Grumman is seeking Systems Engineers for a summer 2027 internship with its Mission Systems sector in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The intern will join the Marine Systems Business Unit, which provides launcher systems, propulsion systems, and power generation systems for naval submarines and surface ships. The internship offers training, professional development, and networking opportunities. The position requires availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.

Requirements

• Be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university, pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree, and remain enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
• Major in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special access within a reasonable period, as determined by the company.
• Be a U.S. citizen.

Nice To Haves

• Overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher.
• Experience with or coursework related to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Experience with Cameo.
• Experience with Systems Design.
• Experience establishing Systems Requirements.
